Depending on whose official count you agree with, you can say that ourworldis politically divided into 196 countries, 217 sovereign states, or 234 autonomous bodies. Among these, there are 4,054 administrative regions that carry various labels: states, provinces, regions, divisions, prefectures, communes, etc.
Among those 4,054 regions, you will find 3,173,958 designated or chartered locations, which may be categorized as cities, towns, villages, etc.
Everycityhas a story.Ineverycityyou will find distinct cultural characteristics, unique local history, distinguished citizens, business leaders, educators, politicians, and local celebrities. Every town has its favorite restaurants, its oldest local hangouts, its famous landmarks, its important historical sites, its hometown heroes, its claims to fame, and an overall zeitgeist of shared knowledge and experiences among its residents that generally manifests as good old-fashioned hometown pride.
My hometown of Reno, Nevada, USA is known astheBiggest LittleCityintheWorld, for so many reasons that it would take a lifetime to document them all.TheReno-Sparks Metropolitan Area is considered to be medium-sized bytheUS Census Bureau, but we pride ourselves onthefact that within 20 miles of here you will find more attractions than you couldinmostcities four or five timesthesize of Reno.
