Among these, there are 4,054 administrative regions that carry various labels: states, provinces, regions, divisions, prefectures, communes, etc. Among those 4,054 regions, you will find 3,173,958 designated or chartered locations, which may be categorized as cities, towns, villages, etc. Everycityhas a story.Ineverycityyou will find distinct cultural characteristics, unique local history, distinguished citizens, business leaders, educators, politicians, and local celebrities. Every town has its favorite restaurants, its oldest local hangouts, its famous landmarks, its important historical sites, its hometown heroes, its claims to fame, and an overall zeitgeist of shared knowledge and experiences among its residents that generally manifests as good old-fashioned hometown pride.
