Translation Translationএর প্রশ্নগুলো অনেকটা correct sentence এর প্রশ্নের মত। একই বাক্যের চারটা রকমফের দেয়া থাকবে, যেগুলোর থেকে সঠিকটা বের করতে হবে। নির্দিষ্ট কোন নিয়ম না থাকলেও কিছু জিনিস মনে রাখলে translationটা সহজ হতে পারে। ১. অনেক সময় একটি word বা phrase এর উপর ভিত্তি করে অনুবাদ করতে দেয়া হয়। যেমনঃ ‘সে বন্দুক তাক করতে না করতেই পাখিটি উড়ে গেল’ — সঠিক অনুবাদ কি হবে? 1.As soon as he aimed at the bird than it flew away. 2.No sooner had he aimed at the bird than it flew away. 3.The bird flew away before he aimed at the bird. 4.The bird flew away no sooner he aimed at the bird. এই অনুবাদটার পুরোটাই ‘no sooner — than’ — এই conjunctionটির উপর ভিত্তি করে করা হয়েছে। তাই বাংলা বাক্যে ঐ key word বা phrase টি চিহ্নিত করতে পারলে এবং তার সমার্থক ইংরেজি word বা phrase টির ব্যবহার জানলে প্রশ্নটা উত্তর করা যাবে। ২. Verb form. বাংলার কোন Verb form এর সাথে ইংরেজি কোন Verb form মেলে তার একটা মোটামুটি তালিকা নিচে দেয়া হল। (‘করি’ বা ‘do’ verb দিয়ে) ৩. কিছু শব্দ ভাষান্তর হবার সময় বচন পরিবর্তন হয়। A Unit 2001-02 22. যেতে পারি কিন্তু কেন যাবো?
